MDE
07 + El Basilisco
El Basilisco was invited to participate in MDE 07 - Encuentro
Internacional Medellín 2007 | Prácticas artísticas contemporáneas,
as part of the "Hospitality Spaces" section. Continuing
in its habitual function, El Basilisco in turn invited artist
Marco Bainella as a sattelite member, to explore registering his
stay in Medellin in some way. This culminated in a show reflecting
this process in Taller 7.
The proposal of extending the encounter to other places began
to grow; as such El Basilisco invited Colombian artist Victor
Muñoz to spend a month-long period of residency in Avellaneda,
Bs. As., accompanied by Marco Bainella. They will jointly create
a document that will summarize the different instances of this
exchange. Victor Muñoz will return to Medellín in
late June for a show at Taller 7 that will reflect the work developed
in Avellaneda. www.encuentromedellin2007.com
