Bas Backer |
Born in The Netherlands. She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany. She studied at the "Rhode Island School of Design" in Rhode Island/ USA, and at the "Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy" in Amsterdam/ NL where she completed a BFA in Fine Arts. In 2005 she was nominated for the "Royal Dutch Prize for Painting" which was accompanied by an exhibition in the "GEM Den Haag Gemeente Museum" in The Hague, The Netherlands. She has also received various work grants from "The Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture". She has exhibited her work in The Netherlands, Germany, and Spain. The most recent exhibitions include the (artist initiative) residency and exhibition by 'Pallati group' in Prishtina/ Kosovo and a group show curated by Marcel van Eeden in Galerie Michael Zink in Munich/ DE. | |
