(Seeing the pile of branches on the sidewalk gave him uncomfortable feelings.) "Ah, don't worry, just wait for spring and things will be fine!"

Aurelio Kopainig
  (1979) Gais, Switzerland. Education: Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst, Zürich/Switzerland, Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam/Netherlands, San Francisco Art Institute/USA. Recent expositions: Galerie Hans-Trudel-Haus, Baden/Switzerland (2006); Seedamm Kulturzentrum Pfäffikon/Switzerland (2006); Aargauer Kunsthaus, Aarau/Switzerland (2005 and 2004); Kunsthalle Fri-Art, Fribourg/Switzerland (2005); Kunsthalle M3, Berlin/Germany; Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'art contemporain, Luxembourg (2004); FOAM, Fotografie Museum Amsterdam/Netherlands (2004), among others. He received the Hans-Trudel-Award, Baden/Switzerland (2006) and grants from Aargauer Kuratorium, Aarau/Switzerland, Ausserrhodische Kulturstiftung, Herisau/Switzerland (2005) and Canton St.Gallen/Switzerland (2003). He lives and works in Berlin.
